Wednesday 25th February

Last night Liverpool secured a 1-0 victory over Real Madrid in Spain as Chelsea beat Juventus by the same score line in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League last-16 tie. Is another Liverpool v Chelsea semi final on the cards?
Phil was back to his usual self and wasn't taking a beating as per previous weeks with not only his apparent constructive comments on Liverpool’s football ability to please the watching audience but also in raising his opinions on such issues as Jade Goody and Brins apparent germ issue, which was something along the lines of where he does not have baths as hot as Joe he must not kill all the germs, to this Brin replied "What germs?". Not my words these are only comments that we’re made and remembered.

Ever felt like Bobby Sands

Ever felt like Bobby Sands, well that’s what people were saying on Wednesday night?

Wednesday night was over Phil’s and there was a strong following for CSKA Moscow as they were taking on Aston Villa in the Uefa cup, the match ended 1-1 which has set up a tantalising second-leg.
The norm is for food to be served at half time but as this match was a 7pm kick off the food was going to be served after the match, it must have been in people’s minds that they’re use to eating at half time and because this didn’t happen people were reminded of the time when Bobby Sands starved himself to death in prison in 1981.

Lack of Medical IT Support

You can tell that a certain companies support has been woefully inadequate this afternoon as their star performers (their words not mine) have been busy trying to come up with some clever lines about last Wednesday night.

As you can see they failed and should go back to what their supposedly good at.

Next Wednesday will be a great night round mine where we watch the mighty Villa take on and beat CSKA Moscow. It could be a Russian theme night with lots of Vodka shots and gruel - just like the Russians are used too. Its a 7.00pm kick off so make sure your round early.

On the ropes

Yep he sure took a beating on Wednesday night. I almost felt sorry for him at one point.

Almost.

Big Hitter Takes A Beating

A dull game of football which England lost 2-0 in Spain was overshadowed by a terrible beating handed out to the big fella. Phil was put on the ropes several times by some big hitting abuse from the rest of the room.

After the boys consumed several tonnes of spicy chicken and chips served up by guest chef Andy the excitement in the room grew. The wine and beer flowed and the abuse started flying around, as more wine and beer went down the lines started hitting home, blood was in the water and the room went wild. Hardly anyone noticed the football end as there was far more fun to be had in the room, Phil was eventually saved by Colin and taken home for a lay down.

Attached is a picture of Phil, hopefully he will recover and be back on the offence next week.
