Irish Stereotyping ??

I'm not normally one to go along with the typical Irish Stereotyping but you can't help laughing at the recent Irish JJB Cup draw which was broadcast live on Irish TV, where the number 10 ball was actually drawn twice!! You could also say perhaps its time Robert Couples, the bloke who incredibly mistook the number 6 ball for the number 10 ball, should perhaps book an urgent trip to Specsavers. See the clip below

Football the Winner ?

Well what a night for football last night was

After the horror of the results we then got down to the nitty gritty of the "Big Fat Wednesday" fantasy football stats and then league positions.

The big news was that Shiney has taken after his hero, Roy Hodgson, and managed to make his team progressively worse every week. Even after Lew's seemingly preposterous £10 bet with Shiney about beating him in the fantasy football league a couple of weeks ago, the gap between the 2 teams is widening alarmingly.

The bottom line is that perhaps the challenge and large stakes involved have got to Shiney, who is now being well beaten by Lew who can't even login to change his team, let alone post a blog comment !!!

Going places

After a great night of results it turns out there are several teams going places this season!!! Villa in the bottom 3 Liverpool 4 points away from the bottom 3 and Chelsea outside the top 4. What a great start to 2011
