As Liverpool became the fourth English side to make it into Friday's Champions League quarter-final draw, this has shown the quality and standard of football played in the English Barclays Premier league. One week ago in the same stadium Arsenal beat the holders AC Milan and last night Liverpool ended Inters European dream thanks to another fine goal by Fernando Torres’. Comments may have been made yesterday afternoon with Phil saying “Who is supporting the mighty Inter tonight then? And Gary saying this morning “12 against 10 was a bit unfair”. But if the truth is told, not only was last night’s performance by Liverpool exceptional, but the fine performance in the first leg at Anfield made last night’s task at lot easier.
Andy’s comment this morning says it all “The Reds go marching on...! I hope all you 'Inter fans' enjoyed another master class from the Kings of Europe!”
Tonight the Wednesday night get together will be hosted by Brin and Joe, and the game that will be showing will the second leg of the UEFA Cup last 16 tie between PSV and Tottenham in the Philips Stadium Eindhoven. PSV currently have a 1-0 lead and with Tottenham having nothing to lose it will be a game they will need to be on the attack from the first minute. The question is apart from will Tottenham get through, will the game go ahead with no crowd trouble considering there currently is a strike by Dutch police.
Andy has said he will be round tonight, but will he make it considering he has alerted us of the feet problem he is currently having due to the new pair of shoes that he has been wearing in Sweden.
Last week Lewis pulled all the stops out to serve the food at what has to be the earliest in a long while, what time will the food be served tonight?
